Introduction to our Secrets
Knowledge is Power.
Of course, power corrupts, but who doesn’t want to be corrupted a little? Who doesn’t want to know as much as possible about everything and anything? Clearly you do, or you wouldn’t be reading this blog. It’s a strange thing, but the world is becoming ever more public, in as much as there are cameras watching our every move, and electronic tracking devices that can pinpoint what we have spent where and when. The notion of “private lives” is a quaint anachronism, and yet the world is still full of secrets. Those secrets can be big or small, white or very dark, but they are all the currency of people who like to deal in knowledge. Or rather, hold back their secret knowledge because it can make them richer — monetarily or spiritually. In an age when man is constantly bombarded with information from all manner of media, including 24-hour news broadcasts, internet streaming and mobile telecommunications technology, that secrets exist is in itself an amazing fact.
The quest to uncover secrets has driven men to madness and great feats of discovery, it has brought them to ruin and great riches — Colonel Sanders, for instance, would never have created the KFC empire without the secret element in his Southern fried chicken. Similarly, Coca-Cola would be just another soft drink without its secret ingredient. Then there are the world’s secret services, who have made and prevented wars by their very secret activities.
This blog is too small to contain all of the secrets of the world, of course. Any blog would be too small, but it does contain an incredible array of secrets, from an impressive range of subject areas. There are food secrets, secret buildings, secrets of the rich and famous, secrets of success and of human relationships plus many more. You can dip in and out and absorb the secrets contained within these pages, and so feel a little wiser and a little more knowledgeable. Go on, corrupt yourself a little.
